A historic hotel in a idealic location

Nestled at the bottom of the iconic Blue Tier mountain bike trail and located midway on the drive between Scottsdale and St Helens. The pub forms the heart of the town.

We only sell Tasmanian beers, ginger beers, ciders, wines and spirits. The more local, the better. And the same applies to the food.

For those who want to stay, we offer 7 rooms that are classic pub accommodation and camping by donation.

Un-powered camping sites for single persons as well as groups. Donations go to grounds upkeep.

I’m a cycle tourist and loved this place. Nice camping spot and amenities. Great pub with great beers (especially milk stout) and steak sandwich. Very hospitable manager and staff making you feel at home. Hot showers. Great refurbishment with light filled rooms and cosy feel.

Needed to sort out some urgent travel details after misjudging the driving distance to Launceston. Stopped at the hotel/pub where the staff were super helpful and friendly - they went out of their way to be helpful.
